hot tubbing monkeys in Japan
ohhhh.... and I forgot to ask... are these monkeys only hanging out at certain times of the year? (aka - the winter?) Or is there snow up in the mountains all the time... so any time of the year you'd be able to see them???? ps - Can't beleive I'm going to Japan JUST to see monkeys!!!! ha ha ha.
how to get from Beijing to Xi An?
What the best/easiest/cheapest way (I realize those 3 options could yield multiple conflicting responses....) to get from Beijing to Xi An (to see the Terracotta Army/Warriors). Car hire? Flying? Train? Tourist Bus? Does anyone have any good advice about this??? Thanks.
flying into Chaing Mai from other Asian cities?
I'm planning a whirlwind trip to Asia (Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand)... and I'm wondering if you need to fly from 'major hub' to 'major hub'. Would Chiang Mai be considered a major hub? Or would I have to fly into Bangkok, then make my way up north?? Any clue what airlines I shoudl be looking at to figure out the best direction to go??? Thanks!.
Looking to rent or possibly buy an Illinois Vacation Retreat
Whats up! Im looking to either rent or buy some isolated land for a wilderness or rural vacation home here in Illinois Im looking for something very isolated with no neighbors around for about 5 radial miles. Id really like to build a modular house or container house on this property for my vacation retreat but I might also consider renting something such as a cabin. Ive found Lots of stuff like this but need some advice as far as locating an area such as this. Its kind of rare in Illinois, but through my research Ive found theres some land if you dig deep enough around central Illinois and in the deep south around Shawnee Forrest that is totally isolated. Im looking to budget around $5000 to $15000 for the whole retreat project. Many modular houses go for about $5000 to $10000 on the cheap, and Ive seen lots of cabin rentals for around $30 a night and so forth.
Whats up Dogs!
Hi Im new here. Im from Illinois and have traveled to most of the contiguous 48 states. Some favorites are Grand Canyon, mountain biking in Moab, Utah, New York City Times Square, camping in Yosemite, Los Angles beaches, and Indian Dwellings in New Mexico. Also been to Canada for outdoor adventures, and enjoy the beaches in Mexico, Jamaicca, Caymens. Im a wilderness enthusiast and am looking at possibly renting a wilderness cabin here in Illinois, or building my own modular house wilderness retreat. Im an artist/writer/producer/internet media enthusiast. Look forward to talking to all of you. Peace!.

Just three inches of snow halts half of all flights at Heat
Airport says "snow plan" has worked "far better" than in previous years, despite axing flights hours after it stopped snowing. Christmas in Europe - Vienna?
I recommend Austria, Switzerland and Germany for the Christmas period. When I spent Christmas in Paris and England, I was a bit disappointed. Salzburg and Vienna, as well as Munich, Stuttgart and Basel are great places with festive christmas atmosphere. You will enjoy the best mulled wine, waffles, cookies and raclette!!!!.
Learning languages
I always try to learn as much of a language as possible before traveliing. The fact that I'm rather fluent in five language (Duch, Frensh, German, English and Spannish) and can cope in another five languages is the fine result of that effort :) I once learned a complete Portugese travel dictionary by heart before going there - that went well... This year will be a bit more complicated with a trip to three countries in three weeks (Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand), three different languages what have nothing to do with what know - no idea yet how far I'll be going this time to study the languages, thing I'll try to pick up some Vietnamese ahead and nothing else.....
Participate in interesting Research please
Dear Traveller, You are invited to participate in an interesting study of a "new" Tourism Destination. I am studying Tourism Management at Bournemouth University. For my dissertation I am investigating the image people have of Algeria. I would be happy if you complete my questionnaire http://kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=ONNOIO_6fdab28c Thanks in advance! Carmen.
